Directions
Located alongside the Tyenna River just past Mount Field National Park, Fern Mount Field is located on Tyenna Road. This dirt road is suitable for all types of vehicles (including motorbikes and 2WD) in all weather.
Please note; due to its relatively remote location Fern Mount Field cannot be accessed via public transport, however tour operators do service the area.
Mount Field National Park to Fern Mount Field
• From the Mount Field National Park visitor Centre, return to Gordon River Road.
• Turn right toward Tyenna and Maydena.
• Travel along this road for 7km.
• Turn right in to Tyenna Road (Fern Mount Field is located 1.6km down this road).
• Follow Tyenna Road over the Tyenna River, then veer left.
• Cross a wooden bridge over the Humboldt River and you will see Fern Mt Field 200m ahead.
